Bohdan Warchomij 1946 Born on 27 October in Wimbern, Germany in a post war displaced persons' camp. His father is a carpenter. 1949 Arrive in Fremantle, Australia. His younger sister Maria dies and the family settles in Perth rather than travel to Melbourne, their original destination. 1969 Studies literature at the University of Western Australia. Receives a first class honours degree. 1973 Travels widely through Europe and Asia with first camera, an Olympus OM1. 1978 Studies for a Diploma in Education. Teaches English and Media at La Salle College in Viveash West Australia for ten years. 1988 Travels and works as a freelance photographer in NYC for six months. 1989 Works as a freelance photographer with the Newspaper Group in Perth. Becomes a staff photographer. Works freelance for the Perth Sunday Times. 1995 Lives and works as a freelance photographer in Hong Kong for three months. Photographs caged people in Hong Kong and hutongs in Beijing. 2001 Teaches photojournalism at Curtin University West Australia. 2004 Works freelance in Europe.
